Our Design Process

Initial Telephone Discussion: This is a brief discussion on the Scope of the project, style preferences, timescale, Budget (we can assist with this and are happy to break the project into phases). Request that client marks pictures in magazines of room designs they like And dislike – this helps us to determine styles and fabrics best suited to the client’s preferences. These will be reviewed and discussed at the Initial appointment.

Initial Appointment: ALWAYS FREE OF CHARGE

Fact Finding: This takes place at the site of the project to determine how best we can assist the client. Some of the areas covered are as follows (not all will be Applicable to each project)

 

  • Meet the clients and have a general discussion on their vision for the space and style preferences.
  • Review and discuss the pictures the client has marked in magazines
  • Walk through the areas and discuss suggestions, Making notes on likes and dislikes.
  • Determine what (if any) furniture etc is to be incorporated into the design.
  • Determine client’s color preferences
  • Take measurements as appropriate
  • Show fabric samples to determine client’s preferences – note feedback
  • Show different styles of products under discussion
  • Discuss ideas for any electrical or remodeling as required
  • Discuss budget and timescale
  • Agree that we want to work together
  • Agree next stage of the process – provide quote for products and services as discussed.
  • Provide contact information for contractors if required


Follow Up Appointment:

  • Present quote and samples for products and services discussed at previous meeting
  • Agree work to be done
  • Quote forms contract – Terms vary depending on size of project – usually 75% payment is required to place orders with 25% due on delivery/installation
  • Place orders with applicable suppliers
  • Provide clients with updates on delivery dates
  • Receive shipments
  • Agree with client installation/delivery dates and times
  • Complete installation.
